Lol. That is an 880 on there. The others are out as I was doing a system calibration just before I shot this picture, wasn't intended as a "glamour" shot
I've a PS3 in the entertainment center, which won't run w/ my IR repeater as it's bluetooth only. That is one of them, there is also a PS3 controller there as I was playing CoD4 as a test of the (for you theater gamers, that game has an awesome ambient sound track.)
The white on the far left is my galaxy CM-140 SPL meter.
That said, the tv remote, directv remote, SPL meter, and Toshiba DVD remote live inside the entertainment center.
Cradle + 880, PS3 controller, and PS3 remote are all that are on it usually.
Back to performance, I setup my Pre/Pro to run LFE through the mains (which is how the sub is hooked up currently due to the aforementioned issue) and played wotw again, the bass is powerful, no question.... but my room and the sealed nature will necessitate the installation of the eq/2 (2 band Peq from eD) for the theater performance in the high teens.
Musically... all I can say is WOW. Clapton unplugged, Joe Satriani - the Extremist, Stevie Ray Vaughn - couldn't stand the weather all left me stunned and duly impressed.
Sealed subs REALLY perform well in the 20+ region and this particular one can do very well in the sub 20 too, but in terms of relative performance (flat response) to the 20+ range, the presence isn't there. I am certain once I give the freq's a boost @ 15+ this will do exactly what I expect for my theater experience and it is already delivering what I want and more for my music.
2 thumbs way up to ed on a superb unit.
Oh, it's a 2 person job for most to move this around though... I'm a pretty big guy and it was a struggle getting it in place. roughly 145lbs with grill installed. Hence the reason the grills are shipped separately, with the grill + packaging it wouldn't ship fedex ground and shipping would cost a LOT more.
