Ahh. I'm going to guess Imageshack or photobucket, because imageshack and photobucket are filtered out at the office and I rarely see any images in posts.

It is both. Being an engineer and a commercial contractor I hope that I can calculate the interior volume of a room I designed and built. Picture a rectangle that is 32' x 25' (800 SF). Take a notch out of it that is 9' x 16' (144 SF). That leaves you with 656 SF. Ceiling height is 17'. 656 SF x 17' = 11,152 CF. Hence my room is a little over 11,000 CF.

Essentially it's coming down to increased cost of materials for the company.

If they insist on making people wait six weeks, they aint gonna get much in the way if impulse buys.

alright, its friday night after a rough week at work and home. got a couple beers in me and my credit card in hand (yeah, but credit card i really mean VISA, so get you mind out of the gutter). i need to feel better.

i am looking at 2000 cubic feet of dedicated HT space (21x13) in my basement. the room and speaker set up will be for movies only. it will be my long dreamed of home movie theater, but nothing over the top theme wise.

i would like to spend $500, or less, on the sub. dont just spend my budget. really tell me, which eD is right for aham23?

be quick and to the point. i want to purchase within the hour.

later.

The A5-350 is the best choice IMHO, but it is $600 shipped. Still the A3-300 should more than do the job and it is $450 shipped. So you are under budget, and then gives you room to buy a quality sub cable as well.

how does the a2-250 compare to a2-300? I have a small room, 12x12,roughly. according to the ed website they have the same frequency response and the graphs look very similar. Would the 250 be just as good in such a small room. thanks,

Jason

Jason,

I honestly don't suggest the 250's to anyone unless the space savings is of utmost importance.

The A2-300 will dig a bit deeper and get louder than even an A3-250...you just can't tuck it under an end table.

Placed my order for a 6.1 setup a few days ago. My speakers will be arriving on Tuesday but of course I am in for a long wait for my A5-350. I can't wait to get it all hooked up.

Damn

Owell I guess thats business...I've been thinking about the eD A3-300 or the Epik Valor, at this point due to pricing I'm strongly leaning towards eD, so it will be interesting to see what their prices do...

Looks like the A3-300 with the upgraded driver is only going up $20.

Same dates for mine. I was hopeful when Ben said that you needed to order powered HT subs by 11/27 to "ensure" delivery by Christmas, but I think they are so busy, and some of this bad weather is going to keep that from happening.

Yeah, that ice storm really messed things up for them in IA. Locked most of the middle midwest down for a day which in turn shut down shipping operations for 2 days I believe.

They are working VERY hard though and most are working this weekend to attempt to get as many done as possible. Even if it doesn't make it for the holiday, everything I have heard and read reassures me that the sound will be WELL worth the wait

I know that Ben & the gang will do everything they can to ensure that as many as possible are on the fed-ex sleigh though :-D

eD is in Iowa? I'm in Iowa this week for work
post #117 of 15215
Overall performance wise, where would the A3-300 fall between the A2-300 and the A5-350 in your guys opinions?
i agree with Craig, closer to the A2-300 than the A5-350

the A5-350 has a bigger woofer, bigger amp, and a bigger enclosure.

I took the plunge and ordered the A5-350 before pricing goes up. I'm happy, and I can't wait to hook my entire system up.
Man, thats a nice jump in price on the A5-350. The nice thing about eD is that you can buy all their subs and build your own, which I plan on doing. My DIY A2-300. Used 13kv.3 + Dayton SA240 for under $180.
