I preordered Here for 719.00 shipped,
thehighdefinitionstore.com/tvs/bd-up5000-world-s-first-true-blu-ray-reg-and-hd-dvd-hi-def-duo-player-345.html

The shipping release on these models depends on the turn around of the company. Each company receives their truck loads at different times. Some people will be able to ship their units earlier than other companies.

I just ordered from BBFB. I called and was told that they are shipping from a "warehouse in Ohio". Because of time constraints for the holidays, I did 2-day shipping. I should have it next Tuesday. Also, I found a 5% online coupon to apply to it. See pic for code.

Let us know if your "Order Status" switches from "In Process."
I'm now at "Order Submitted".

Did you see an "In Process" status yet? I don't remember seeing "Order Submitted" on my order made on November 20, though I've admittedly slept since then (no, really!).
Hi Robert,

I knew it was too good to be true. I called Best Buy for Business and they told me that the link was not valid and that they had no idea when the item would be in stock
post #15 of 56
Looks like they may have sold out of the initial shipment...
lol, sorry, cozog. Back to the never-ending obfuscation.

If there were any orders fulfilled, I wonder how far into the queue they are and how long it is.

I'm thinking it was everyone that had pre-ordered from BBfB plus some of the orders this morning (because they indicated "in-stock" briefly) - but, this is purely speculation....

That seems like pretty slow shipping for an "in stock" item...

Negative, I have an order from November 20th that hasn't changed status from "In Process" (see above)!

I've just about had it.

Snowtrooper, I would say the stock is depleted...if it was ever actually there in the first place.

I just spoke with BBFB. The CSR was very helpful. He showed a BB PO that has been fully paid and BB is getting approx. 1200-1400 units delivered to their warehouses tomorrow. Orders placed from bestbuy.com will be shipped from your closest warehouse only. Orders placed on bestbuybusiness.com will be shipped from ANY warehouse.

He guessed (yes, I said guessed) that if the warehouses have them tomorrow, they will start actual shipping to customers on Monday. This means I'm looking at Wed or Thu for delivery.

He also said that the B&M stores are not likely to get more than a few units (3-5) per store.

It sounded to me like the actual delivery dates will be BBB.com customers, then BB.com customers and finally B&M customers.

Hope this helps...

Cozog, that sounds pretty positive. I think I might cancel my 1call pre-order and do BBB.

Don't forget your 5% coupon code. That brings the price down to $759 before tax & shipping.
I saw that thank you. Still debating whether it's worth the $50 difference to possibly get it a few days/weeks sooner then 1call.

Was this someone from BBB with whom you spoke? Someone who actually had a clue?! Hopefully, there's some truth to this and they weren't blowing smoke up your rear. That's a far cry from 13 for the entire nation, LOL.

Yes, he sounded like he had been doing that job for a while.

I called again to try and change coupon codes from 5% to 10%. Was told I'd have to cancel my order and re-submit. Or I could keep it and the CSR would "release my order from the inventory hold" since they have received the players. I asked him to release my order. We'll see what happens next...

Order is still "In process".

The saga continues!
