A novice with a question:
In the process of getting FIOS tv (Verizon's fiberoptic cable)next week. Just bought a Panasonic 50" plasma, TH-50px77u. Have a Harmon Kardon 146 and Polk 5-1 theater system (think it's model 6750), and Toshiba HD-A3 DVD player. All new and ready to go when the FIOS guy comes next week.
Seems the HK doesn't have the audio part of the HDMI connection. Is it better to run the FIOS through the receiver and then the TV or directly to the TV. I think I read that if I run it through the receiver that I need an optical cable for the audio portion. Is that correct? Is that my best option.
Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks.
