Review: The Hottest State

This is a movie by Ethan Hawke, who of course is an actor as well, but also writes and directs as well. It's an interesting little film, about a young man in his first relationship and the issues involved in that, and those caused by the fact that his father wasn't around and he feels he doesn't know how to be a man. It's definitely more in the 'people and relationships' category, so don't rent it if you are looking for anything to blow up real good. But if you like that type of fare, I enjoyed it and you might as well.

So definitely not a movie to watch after football on Sunday when all they guys have downed a few 6 packs?

Not unless they have father abandonment issues that you want to help them work out :-) Catching them drunk might work for that, I dunno, particularly if their team loses.
