Excellent! Hopefully "a certain online DVD reatiler" will send soon.

what are the chances of b&ms actually stocking the shelves with these on a Sunday--I'd bet slim to none....

We're sort of getting off topic here, but I'm a big fan of the combos too. I've never had a problem with any of my combo discs in either my A1 or A35. It's nice to have the ability to watch them in other players, or to take them to friend/family's houses to watch.

Sweet.

I have both of these on preorder. Hopefully this means I'll get them a little earlier.

I saw both in theaters. LOVED them both and cannot wait to revisit them again.

Stores usually have the DVDs the weekend before a Tuesday release.
They just wait until tuesday to put them on the shelves.

I think they will be available on the 23rd.

I got an early copy of The Kingdom (I know a guy who works at a blockbuster and they already have their copies) and am sorry to break the news that it in fact does NOT have a TrueHD track.

I only put it in to check for TrueHD so I can't comment on the quality yet but I plan on watching it tonight and can post a small review if people are interested.

There you go, confirmed only DD+

Why don't you post a photo of your so-called early copy showing that Universal switched their boxart from TrueHD to DD+?

Their box art never mentioned about True HD. They only exposed the Front Cover Art with that stupid COMBO sticker.

Thanks for the heads up! I cancelled my order from Amazon and will be picking it up at a local store on the 23. That way I can make sure I have it for the Christmas break. DHL has been screwing up my shipments from Amazon.

Heh, I thought some people wouldn't believe me, but that's ok... I only have 5 posts so I must be lying right? Anyway I can't actually take a picture of the box art because I only have the blockbuster case not the retail one. (yes, blockbuster rents hd dvds in Canada)

Anyways I did take a few pics of the menu but I apologize in advance for their quality, the only digital camera I have is my webcam that's built into my laptop.

If you still don't believe it I understand, you can wait for it to actually release

btw, PQ and AQ were quite impressive, PQ was pretty much a 5/5 throughout and AQ was outstanding especially the final action sequence. Only complaint I have is some of the dialog seemed to have a buzzing over it during the first bit of the movie, not sure if that was something in my setup or what...but it was fine later on.
