Can NOT Adjust Multipoint Red

60" - Philips - rear-Projection HDTV @5yrs old

I can not adjust the Multipoint Red (aka, the crosses will not align) using the remote control OR the panel on the TV. Can anyone give me a tip.

-Do I have to open up the unit?
-I already paid @$125 for a guy to come in and NOT fix it. (note: He never opened it up...he failed with the remote control)

- At one point selecting the option to Restore the factory setting actually worked. But that fails now.

This is especially a pain during sporting events when the score marquee bends.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You could try getting a calibration disc from the http://www.imagingscience.com/ but even then if the red CRT will not move by the remote or
TV buttons then you may have to loosen the lens and move it yourself. It sounds like red is going out all together. It may not be worth having it professionally repaired since you will not have a warranty after the money to fix it.
