mike: Hi. I have a bdup5000. I understand from a prior chat session that a new firmware update is required to play the bluray disc of the film Avatar. The support page relating to this issue (see here: http://ars.samsung.com/customer/usa/...9&AT_ID=237883
) indicates that the firmware is available by "CD" as of today. How can I get a copy of this CD?

Serra J: We are having playback compatibility issues with Avatar blu ray disc playing with Samsung blu ray players. Our engineers are working on it to release a firmware to fix this issue. Until the firmware is released specifically to fix this issue. There is nothing that can be done.
Serra J: As of now, we do not have any fixed time frame for the release of the firmware. But, I am sure, it should be released pretty soon in the future.
Serra J: We apologize for the inconvenience. We need your co-operation and patience with this.
mike: If you look at the link that I provided from Samsung's own website, it indicates that the firmware will be available today.
Serra J: I double checked and see that the firmware will be release today at end of the day to fix this issue.

mike: So will it be available only via CD and, if so, how can I get a copy?>

Serra J: And then burn to a CD.
Serra J: We will provide the link and the instructions.
mike: Well, can I order the CD now?
Serra J: I mean link to download the firmware and instructions to burn it on the CD.
Serra J: No, you cannot order it now as its not available yet.
Serra J: It will be available at the end of the day.
