Are there any good German-language movies with English subtitles on Blu-ray?

The Lives of Others (Das Leben der Anderen). Good movie with great PQ, too.

I second that! I bought it... it's very powerful (and it has a very important message for today's audience... I'll say no more). Black Book was okay, but not in the same quality league IMHO.

One I'd be keen on is Das Boot.

Yes, das boot would be great. It was on AMC a few weeks ago. But alais it was the dubbed version. So I had to change the channel.

I might pick up the lives of others. Looks like a good movie. I have to wait till after the holidays as this I spent to much now.

Excellent. Hope they also end up releasing The Princess and the Warrior. That would look great on Blu-Ray.

Oh yeah! I'm waiting for Das Boot on Blu-ray. Hopefully it is being done using a good master and high encoding standards. Top notch audio will be very important for this film in particular.
