I tried to watch the 19 minute segment and the show started, I then hit 30 second advance button, and it went to the play or delete screen, when I said play another recorded show, it locked up! can't select anything. But I had noticed on earlier split recording, that were say 6 minutes, it would not play six minutes. well wife is recording a show now and replay still frozen. don't want to manual reboot for fear of screwing up her recording. (if it's really recording).
As far as disconnecting the internet cable, haven't done that yet. (sending a show)
what the heck! I'm rebooting, there's a commercial on. well the reboot cleared the replay up (missed a little of the show) but there wasn't 19 minutes recorded. and the other segment says it's 38 minutes. Second segment seems to work okay.
Your RTV's problem could be both a disk going south and the mysterious reboot phenomina that's going around.
The split recordings could be the reboot issue, but frozen recordings, recordings that won't play and recordings that lock up or skip part of the way through are all indicators of a possibly failing hard disk.
Delete the affected segments and if you start getting more freezes, lockups, jumps/glitches or pixelations (note that pixelations could be at the carrier/provider end of the transmission) , then head over to www.replaytvupgrade.com
and you'll find all the instructions, software and RTV-O/S images needed for replacing a drive.
If you don't want to do it yourself, then contact Mikeyboy at www.replaytvparts.com
