Sanyo PLV-Z2000 startup screen logos

Thread Starter
I had been toying around with the idea of creating a custom startup logo for my Sanyo PLV-Z2000 projector, since it supports this feature.

I finally figured out a way to get the logo onto a DVD, in full 1080 resolution, and then capturing it into memory from the Projector (You pop the DVD in, display the image, and then capture the display -- much like taking a screenshot)

I am offering up to create a DVD iso image with everyone's preferred startup screen. Just create whatever screen you want at 1920x1080 resolution, and make it available to me.

In the end, I will create an ISO image with all the screens (sequential), and you simply burn that image onto a regular DVD, and play it in your HD player. This makes it easy to capture it. This is ONLY for people with HD-DVD players. I don't own Blu, and I dont know how to create a Blu compliant DVD in hidef... sorry

Post links to your images here please so I can grab them. I will create the ISO in Dec 29th, or as soon as we get 30 people in. Whatever comes first.

EDIT: Here is mine...

This has always been interesting to me...does anyone know what other projectors support this feature? I was specifically wondering about the Panny and Epson 1080p models.

I think this is really cool - Gnolivos, you are the man. I saw this option in the z2000 manual (I printed out and ready all 60 pages!).

I was immediately intrigued at the option of a custom intro screen - how awesome.

I have no idea how to create such a screen, but I've got a buddy who is much better at computer stuff than I am - so I'll see if I can get his help.

thanks for the offer!

Why not just hook up a computer? Seems a little easier..?

Read the manual Seriously though, the manual states:

Quote:
Note:
• A signal from a computer can be captured up to XGA (1024 x 768).

And I am providing a way to capture full 1920x1080.
