Sony has muddied the water with a recent update to their site. It now appears that the 2000 will pass DTS HD MA via bitstream. They leave off the last 2 letters say DTS HD and of course the last to are the most important since it could be HR or MA. But when you read the specs posted below it reads like MA since it says indistinguishable form the original studio version.
