Thanks, but really old news. They've had that PDF up since the end of the summer, I think. It just recently started shipping, though, and I've seen it at The Good Guys and Tweeter.
Note that it can only record and display HD video through its FireWire connections. It has no embedded HD tuner and is designed to record from the ATSC tuner in Mitsubishi's TVs (or from some cable or DBS tuning STB with FireWire). It has no embedded MPEG decoder or encoder, so it can't play a D-VHS tape through its analog outputs, or make one from its analog inputs. JVC's unit has all those capabilities except built-in-HD tuning, and include HD analog outputs (though it will reduce the resolution of video displayed through these if the recording had copy-protection set) but it lists for twice as much.
