Help! I need to get advice for setting up 3 devices for surround sound...

Here is what I have:
Sony DAV-FX500 (Specs)
Sony 46in LCD w/2 HDMI (plugged into receiver via HDMI)
Playstation 3 (not hooked up yet)
Charter Moxi HD/DVR box (using component video to TV, optical to receiver)
Nintendo Wii (component to TV, composite audio to receiver)

My plan is to run HDMI from PS3 to TV, but sound is my issue. My question is, when I hook up my PS3, how will I be able to get surround sound on it without losing the surround sound on my cable box? It seems I am going to have to disconnect my cable box each time I want to watch a Blu-Ray movie. Am I missing another option here? Please help!

I don't know what the capabilites of all your equipment is, so I can only make general statements.

Look into an HDMI switchbox if you need to switch multiple sources connected with HDMI through your receiver.

If the PS3 has S/PDIF out, you should be able to make an audio connection to your receiver that way. You would set your PS3 to output Dolby Digital or DTS in that case.

HDMI audio is only useful to your receiver if it supports MPCM over HDMI - some don't, and I have no clue what you have.

I linked to my player specs above hoping that would help. Anyone?

What surround processor? Nothing of the info you have posted helps answer your question.
