Material for Projecting from behind?

I need to set up a projector screen for a NYE dance im DJ'ing. I was thinking i was going to use the halls pull down screen, but looks like that isnt going to happen. Ive done some searching of this forum for Lycra or Spandex and im not even sure thats the best material to use for projecting an image from behind to be viewed on the opposite side.
Can someone direct me to a thread or recommend a place to get the material.
Thanks.

I just found this thread
Man some of the better materials cost an arm and a leg. I searched on ebay for the Da-Lite material and i have no idea where or what material he said went for as cheap as $9. May have to try the walmart shower curtain trick and see how it works.

It works surprisinly well... I do Saturday evening movies out by the pool with a Mits HD1000u.... but for a larger screen (110") I've been using 6 mil Visquene (sp?) from Home Depot with great success...

Jim,
Whats this Visquene stuff. Do they sell it in sheets or is it a roll material?
I have found a few different forums this morning while searching for "rear projection shower curtain" and see that quite a few people are using them.
I did see someone mention using some sort of white opaque rigid plastic sheet material from Home Depot, but he didnt say what it was.
How much was the Visquene material you bought?

It's the stuff they sell for builders to "mask off" a wall or part of a room... roll of poly film material.... don't remember the price but it comes in a variety of sizes...

Well i picked up the $6 white and a clear shower curtain at Home Depot this evening and gave the white one a shot. Itll work great for short notice and short cash. I just hung it from the eye loops using some bungies wrapped around my lighting truss. Set up my projector about 14' back and it pretty much filled the 70" at that distance on the 70"x72" curtain.
Ill give the clear one a shot in the morning and see if it makes any difference.
Didnt see any hot spotting at all using the white.
I bought some 3/4" PVC pipe to make a frame for holding the curtain and some metal grommets and bungies for keeping it tight. From one of the other threads or forums i visited earlier today, it was recommended to iron out the wrinkles in the curtain with a cloth between the iron and the curtain.
Ill have at the frame and the finishing touches tomorrow and will post a few pics here after.
I did look at the rolls of 6 mil poly film and it was right between the clear and white curtains as far as opaqueness. The smallest roll they had was 10'x25' for about $25. I think the shower curtain might hold up better for repeated use and portability if i decide to reuse this for other events.
Ive used that Poly for covering machines that i had to crate up at work and it is fairly tough stuff, but i seem to remember the folds in the film would leave a darker white line.
Edit: Figured i should give the clear curtain a shot at night, so i strung it up and it was a total failure. Its way to clear to be of any use as a projector screen. Im sure another more opaque one may work better. Ill stick with the white one for now and maybe look at some other material down the road.

Victor,
Thanks for that link, some very useful info and i might just go for some of the Trapeze fabric a lot of the people at that forum are using. Pretty affordable stuff at $54 plus shipping for a durable/washable 6'x10' screen. I filled out the form for a free sample piece to check out.

Shot a little video of the screen all finished up. Aside from some of the wrinkles in the shower curtain (which are barely noticeable when the lights are out) the image quality was pretty decent for the intended purpose.
I did try to iron out the wrinkles, but it did absolutely nothing.
I do have a few stills that i shot, but i think the video tells the story well enough.
