and I am absolutely sure you are wrong. I and a few others on this very board can tell you that it will accept a 1080p signal ( at 24 fps, no less)....it may have come out in 2004, but that doesn't mean a damn thing....it also costs up to 4,000 back then as well. It has a very good scaler and deinterlacer in it which is why I want to send a signal above 720p. 1080p isn't new; its mainly a marketing gimmick anyway and has been around since 1080i as long as you have anything that can deinterlace a 1080i signal.
the problem is that I need to "force" such a signal as my player will only send 720p through hdmi on my projector because of handshake reasons (which are linked to the native resolution of any display )after my last firmware update . I want to know that if I send the hdmi through the receiver, then my projector will I get the 1080i/p to be forced instead of my player determining that I should only have a 720p output.
someone who knows what I am talking about or has experience please let me know.....I am buying a H/K 247 2moro afternoon unless someone can tell me I should rethink my choices.
