A2 won't play HD DVDs?

Hi... I think that my A2 may he defective. It plays DVDs fine but won't read HDDVDs? I read through another thread and it didn't seem like it was a problem that anyone had a solution for. Its pretty new (fire sale), 2.7 firmware successfully installed, plays regular DVDs just fine. Anyone have any possible quick fixes?

Sounds like what happened to my XA2. Blue Laser Diode failure. It reads SD discs because they use the red laser. On HD discs it says Cannot play this disc.

Solution is to send it back to Toshiba for a drive swap. I swapped a drive out of an A2 and fixed my XA2. The problem actually lies in drive itself.

I had the same problem. Everyt time I put in a hd dvd after have watched "Fearless" where I had been fast forward alot. I got a message like this: "The disc is not in dvd format, cannot play the disc". But after had initilize the player several times and had unplugged it it started to work again.
