Believe it or not but all recent LCD flat panel models if you watch Fry's ad's last few months have been offered at huge discounts. They were selling 46XBR4 for $2499, and 52w3000 for $2300 recently for example. I also seen Samsung xx81 series offered for several hundred off earlier. They carry a lot of inventory and when they feel the urge to move it, they offer terrific discounts!

Have you seen the price of the 52" on their website? It jumped $1300 in 2 days.

Fry's doesn't always list current display prices all the time on their web site. You have to watch for their newspaper ads, or call to see what they are really selling a particular display for. Usually sales are Friday through Tuesday. Where as CC and BB pricing online is usually correct.

Both LCD and Plasma flat panel prices are still free-falling. For example, during the 1-day Fry's sale on December 26, both the Panasonic 42" and 50" 1080p plasmas were selling for $300 less than the "Black Friday" pricing.
