Really Need help updating firmware via CD on Samsung DVD player (SEARCHED!)

I've spent hours and hours on different forums searching on updating samsung dvd player firmwares. Currently I have a DVD-HD860 and want to update it to the european firmware. The problem is not the firmware but getting the DVD player to recognize that it exist. I've followed every burning setting that samsung recomends and have tried using 1 file, then 2, and tried several different variations and burn always at 4x. What could I be doing wrong?!

If you called or emailed Samsung what did they say?

I see this file, 20070801151122640_860-XEU.zip, available at http://www.samsung.com/uk/support/do...ia_cd=03011000.

It contains BUILD.IMG, SPINO.VER AND UPDATE.VER. The last two each contain the text "build.img".

The instructions from Samsung are poor, but a data CD with BUILD.IMG AND UPDATE.VER should work. If try a CD with BUILD and SPINO.VER and if that doesn't get it try one with all three files. Finalize the disks. Make sure to use either a CD-R or CD-RW blank disk and avoid the hundreds for a Euro brands. Use a disk from a well known maker of media; not a house brand and not a well known name that markets, but does not make media. Good luck.
