Excellent! Wanted to catch it in the theater but never got around to it. Should look amazing in 1080p!

"The biggest animated DVD of Q1 2008"
...might as well have said "the biggest animated HD-DVD release on March 11, 2008" if they're really gonna put themselves out there like that.

This one was a stinker, in my book. Come on, I see Blu-Ray getting stuff like Rattatoulle...can we please get the first two Shrek films or something? How about Antz? Those are all excellent films. Bee Movie is nice for the kiddies but I'd like to be entertained too.

^ different strokes... I thought Bee Movie was hilarious and played more to the adults than it did the kids in the theatre. A definite purchase for me.

This will be a blind buy for me

I must say, I'm a big Seinfield fan but I didn't enjoy this movie at all, kind of corny over all. My nephews fell asleep after about 30 minutes, and they'll watch anything. But hey, I'm sure it'll look great in HD. Just my opinion.

+1 "corny" about sums it all up. It was like Seinfeld for kids but the kids didn't get it. Good eye candy though... for the kids.

So I'm wondering...is it at least a better flick than Shrek the Turd?

Blind buy for me as well.

And Kung fu Panda looks like it's going to be a blast whenever that comes out.

Same here.

I'll probably blind buy just for the PQ. i did that for Shrek 3 and i actually enjoyed that movie a lot. i had no expectations because of everyone saying how bad it was, which i still don't see why everyone hated it. yeah, the message was trite and a little too obvious, but there were some funny parts throughout.

The wife and kids saw this one at the theater, and they told me that we had to have it in HD DVD...nuff said.

Seconding this. Bee movie was one of the worst animated movies i have ever seen. I would much rather prefer they release over the hedge rather than this.

Or better than the RAT?
I just don't want to feel like I need to vomit every few minutes like I did with Ratatouille. Those rats were pretty disgusting.

And Rattatoulle was one of the worst animated movies I have seen. Bee Movie was better than expected and I for one am looking forward to it on HD-DVD!

Just FYI my 3 year old son gives this movie the thumb of approval. And he sat through the entire thing in the movie theater (which was impressive being his first movie ever).

The movie wasn't blockbuster or as good as Shrek or Madagascar, but it was still highly entertaining and will look slick in HD. I'm getting it.

I'm always happy to see another computer animated movie make it to HD.
However, I saw this in the theater. And although it did get some laugh's here and there, for the most part it was quite boring.
IMO.
I picked up shrek the 3rd. But I definately will NOT be picking this one up.

The animation was great and unfortunately that was part of the problem. Everytime I saw those rats, especially in the kitchen, I felt like I was going to vomit.
My girlfriend wouldn't even watch it.

Ditto. The previews look good and I am a sucker for a HD DVD CGI movie.

I still can't wait for Over the Hedge, Shrek, and Shrek 2.
I loved both Shrek and Ratatouille.
I agree with others though, would rather see Shrek 1 and 2.
