Thin vertical line on LCD tv - Page 4

My Westinghouse 42" TV which I got at BJ's for $650 a couple years ago is showing signs of vertical lines in several places not really related to any burn-in influences AFAIK. I hooked up M$ Paint to the VGA input of the TV. I found for each of the 3 primary colors, if the setting was 230 or higher, the lines were not quite visible; but as I go darker below 230, like 200, 150, 100, the lines become more apparent in each of 3 colors. Where the lines are, it's getting to black several bits ahead of the rest of the screen.

I have a line on the right hand 4:3 border on my Toshiba 32 inch LCD TV.

It appears regularly when I turn on the TV but by pressing on the screen near the top of the line it disappears.

I had a one pixel wide verticle yellow line running down my Sony 52" LCD. I was able to "fix" it by changing my power saving settings to low. I put "fix" in quotes because I have no idea why that worked but it did for me so it 's worth a shot for other people with the same problem.
