I have an Hitachi projection LCD HDTV with AV Net. I would like to use this feature to allow a simple IR passthrough or repeater function using the IR remote that came with my DVR (instead of the Hitachi remote). Does anyone know how to set this up?
The Hitachi owners manual describes how the AV Net can be configured so the Hitachi remote can be used to control other av components in a closed cabinet. The configuration proceedure (like most IR remotes) requires the entry of specific codes for each av component. I assume this proceedure will work with the Hitachi remote, but is there a way to set up AV Net to allow it to simply passthrough or repeat any IR signal from any IR remote?
