I don't know if it worked. I found it while looking into Plasmas. If anyone uses it, please post.
I believe that if this is a good program, and works well, agree should be sticked to the top, I'm sure tons of people will be greatfull for easy fix!

im going to download the dvd image version and see if it will help get rid of my temporary "espn" image from espn hd...what is with these self important bloated networks and their damn bright logos? why cant they all make them opaque if they have to have the at all...idiots. i will report back on my results.

I have a Pioneer Kuro 6010 plasma, and it has an intermittent stuck pixel (a 2x2 cluster that is bright aqua, and flashes on/off depending on the background image). The first two times I saw this, I played The Incredibles DVD for a few hours and the problem pixels seemed to "heal". After a couple weeks of "perfect picture", the "aqua cluster" suddenly reappeared. As a test, I downloaded the DVD image (available under Screen Fixing Videos on the JScreenFix website) and played the file (zoomed to fullscreen) from my Mac laptop. After about 15 minutes - the pixels were "unstuck"! Now - hopefully this gremlin will stay away for good.

I'd certainly give this tool a vote of confidence, at least for plasma screens. Glad I discovered this thread!

Though I haven't had the need to use it, I hope it helps others who may have this sort of problem. Along with myself in future needs ( Keeping fingures crossed though)

i just received my new samsung and found a dead or stuck pixel. i am currently trying to "unstick" it and notice a second one. hope this won't cause more problems....

only been turned on for 10min max so far

any recommendations.

do you have a better solution? i would just like to reactivate the two stuck or dead pixels on my 1-day old plasma!

In your case yes, swap out your PDP for another or get your money back.

It is 'fallacy' to believe one can resurrect the de d/stuck pixel(s) for a phosphor based display.

the hassle of carrying it back down 3 floors, sending it back, waiting for it to be checked and then replaced and then carrying the next one back up the stairs is too much.

plus the next one has just as high a risk of having a dead pixel (or something worse).

one of the stuck pixels has already snapped out of it and the other one, well, seems like a lost cause but i will wait a while.
should it get worse i can still have samsung come by and replace the panel.

Others on here have mentioned playing a Pixar move like The Incredibles on repeat has unstuck their stuck pixels. You might try that.

I think your last post was completely uncalled for, especially since you worded it as a personal attack against HT-Naimee. It's his business whether carrying it down 3 floors is worth it to him. You should've simply stated what you would do and that you didn't think Samsung would replace it for two stuck pixels. How your post was worded made it completely inappropriate and unhelpful to this thread.

i might give it a try. the JScreen stuff seems to have created more stuck pixels and i have decided to wait a bit and see if they become unstuck. if not, i will simply have it repaired during it's warranty and have a new panel installed. should be no problem.

K, well SORRY kalrith for hurting your feelings. however, Samsung does not want to help anyone with there product line. They are hopeless. They have been reviewing my TV for over 2 weeks now, for 4 different issues and they still don't have an answer. and I am not missing one for 2 pixels, i am missing thousands, not to mention green line, instant IR, and uneven blacks which have a big red hue the bottom half of the screen...

Your situation really sucks. I hope it works out for you in the end even though you've been without your TV for a while.

I'm trying JScreenFix on my Panasonic plasma now. It has one stuck (flickering) green subpixel in the lower-right of the screen.

You all are scaring me with all your trouble stories of stuck pixels! I am in the process of researching my first purchase of a flat panel TV and I am/was very interested in a plasma for the large screen options. However, all this talk about screen burn in, image retention, and stuck pixels really concerns me. Are these conditions the norm, or am I just witnessing the discussions of very few who actually post about their troubles?

I tried everything(Jscreen, Pixar Movies etc.) last year with three Panny 700u's. Not one of the many stuck pixels repaired itself. So my experience would lead me to believe it's snake oil and the only way to correct the problem is to exchange the set until you get one with no problems.

Maybe manufacturers would work a little harder on there QC if more people would return defective sets.

With that said I don't see anything wrong with attempting to correct a stuck pixel hope it works for you.
