Anyone know if this is a new model? The specs look good with a 5ms response time and 4 HDMI inputs.

Thanks,
T

This is a new model, and hasn't been released yet.

Vizio has it on the website and it looks like it cost less than all of the other Vizio 47s and the 46. I was looking at getting the 52" but this one seems to have better specs and a $1000.00 cheaper but a little smaller,

Just looking at the specs this is an amazing screen versus the rest of their lineup, especially for the price.
If you are in the 42-52in market out of their selection it is the hands down winner, there is no reason to pick any other screen besides maybe the 52in if you wanted the extra 5in.

I hope they upgrade the old 32in and 37in to this new VO line, they are in dire need of an update.

Unfortunately, the user guide link for this model still doesn't work on the vizio.com website. I am confused by the pricing though. It's listed at $1499, while the newly released (Walmart only) VW47 model is priced $200 higher. Based on the detailed specs on the website, the VO seems to have more HDMI inputs, PIP, and be a faster panel. In summary, don't those features alone make it a better TV? So, what's the deal with the price?

I don't get it either... but I'm curious to find out.

I'm interested in getting this TV. I hope it comes to Costcom so it's cheaper, and better return policy =)

If you go to walmarts site though you will notice they sell it for about $350 less then the 'MSRP', so the VO would not really break that price structure I guess, as the VW is still cheaper.

Anyone know how quickly Vizio gets these new models into the hands of their retailers (Costco, etc)? This looks like a winner from the website, but I'd love to see it in person first.
I just called vizio, and they said this tv should be in costco in about 2-3 weeks.

Did they happen to mention whether CostCo was the only retailer carrying this model?
Yes, it's coming to Costco! This is going to be my first LCD, and it has some pretty good specs for the price, and costco usually reduces the MSRP they provide by $200-$300 like on the GV47L and some others. Anyone else planning on getting this TV. The big selling point for me is the 4 v1.3 HDMI inputs, and its 1080p!
On the Vizio web site the V047LF - 47 is listed as FHDTV the other 2 47" ones are listed as HDTV. Why is this? The are all 1080p.
I am going to take a guess and say the "F" stands for FULL??
yes, the "F" does stand for 1080p, and this one has 1080p.
I sent an email to Vizio, and they told me it would come out around march 08. But they did tell me its shipping with the VUR 8P remote, which is the new one thats universal, backlit and is glossy black.

I work at Costco in Nampa, Idaho and we just got them in Friday. SLICK looking TV! And very good price! We hooked up the old Blu-ray to it and it looked stellar! Not as good as the Sony 46" V3000, but for the cost it was great! Comes with an HDMI in the box too!

I work at sam's and it's in the system at sam's too. I don't have the number on me, but it was supposed to show up 1/7... hasn't yet, but it should come. It'll be interesting to see how it compares to the 52" vizio.

It is in-stock at the Costco in Leesburg Virginia. About 5 sets as far as I could see. Price on the shelf was $1399. Picture looked fine except for the dark areas on the screen. Some noticable loss of detail. Could be simple adjustment issue out of the box.
So i bought this tv today and costco. Its a monster right now, i was replacing a 42 inch plasma. this thing looks huge in its place. Right now im loving it except for 2 little problems.

First thing is on some regular channels at the very top of the picture this a white static line thats blocking the very top of the picture. Its not on all the regular channels but a lot of them. Anybody know why this might be happening. I know not a lot of people has this tv yet, but others with vizio might know.

Second I have an toshiba a-35 hd-dvd player and a ps3 which both do 1080p/24p. I noticed on the box one of the symbols is a blue circle with like two 7's in it and and on top of them is 24p. The symbol on the box is called senses action. on the box it says this optomizes motion picture footage for the ultimate high def experience. So i think that what this is but im not sure. I dont know how to tell on my high def players if im getting 1080p/24p. I set them both for that but i dont know how to tell if im actually gettting it. Any suggestions??

Thanks

Vizio told me today that VO47 should be available at Costco in mid-FEB. Based on recent posts in this thread, seems like Vizio people are a bit confused.
i got mine today, they told me they got them in yesterday. I already bought the 3rd one
post #27 of 885
I can't wait for the 22". It's gonna be my office monitor\\2nd xbox 360 screen. How much was the 47"...if I'm allowed to ask that!?

Yup. Just got one in Fairfax, VA. Will post a report when I have it all hooked up.
I saw one the other day. Damn, now I have the upgrade bug again. Didn't I just kill that thing?

Browsing around, sounds like Vizio is coming out with a slew of new models? Anyone know the difference between the VO line and the SV/VS line later in the year?
I saw the set at Costco today and I'm impressed.
The TV itself looks great and the pictures look great too.
It was sitting next ti Vizio 42" lcd and the 42 looked washed out.
I'm hoping Costco will have a sale on this and reduce it to ~$1100.
