Problems playing DVD-R's and DVD+R DL's on H2-A2

I have had issues playing movies burned onto a few of my blank Verbatim DVD-R's and DVD+R DL's on my H2-A2 player.
I know it is an issue with the player because they play just fine on other SD players.
Is there a fix for this?
I have 2.5 firmware on my player.

what is the media code on your discs? Might be worth checking videohelp.com to see if others have had issues with your media on the A2. I have played +R / -R +RW / -RW on my A2 without any issues. My media is mostly RiData, but does vary.

Set the booktype of your DVD+R DL's to DVD+R not DVD-ROM.

I'm not sure what the media code is on my discs
I just know that it's the Verbatim brand made in Taiwan
I haven't had any issues with most of my burned discs, just a few that I've personally authored myself

How do I do that?
I use DVD Shrink to back up my DVD's

There should be an option in DVD Shrink for "booktype." You'll also want to make sure you set it properly in your burning software. (DVDShrink doesn't actually do the burning, so you must have Nero or something else installed as well)
