klipsch qunitet wall mount or stands?

Hi,

I'm about to set up a Klipsch qunitet system that I recently bought. I can either do a wall mount or floor stands. I was reading some info about speaker placement and a couple places said that floor stands are better since the speakers should be 1 foot from the wall. The thing is, buying stands will be an added expense so I would like to know whether it's really that big of a deal. Thanks.

I am no expert but I had heard the the closer the speakers are to the wall the higher db you gain, I also heard though you should let your speakers "breathe" as well. Im more into the video but I just got a Denon 1707 and I am researching audio now.

I would recommend going with stands if you can swing it. Stands give you more flexibility in placement, and no holes in the walls to repair later. Also, most wall-mounted speakers get end up getting mounted too high (should be ear height when seated) and you'll have the issue of concealing the speaker wire.

I have the Quintets and I am using OmniMount SAT2 stands, which come with mounting brackets specifically for the Quintets. I ordered mine from keenzo.com because they had the lowest price (after shipping) I could find and I am very satisfied with their service.
