Advice needed.. please help.

My friend is selling an Epson Powerlite 81p with about 400 hours on it for around $300, here is more information about that projector.

I am primarily going to be using the projector to play xbox 360, i already have the VGA adapter for the xbox so thats no problem.. my question is:

Is there something better out there for around the same price that would be a better alternative? I think this one looks great so far, my only complaint is that its not widescreen.

He either wants the projector back or the money by tomorrow afternoon, so if you have a comment, any comment please post it and give me some feedback...

Contrast is terrible and in a widescreen PJ world you won't be happy with a 4:3 aspect. Need a 16:9 720p minimum PJ. I have a BenQ PE7700 that by now should sell used for around the same price.

Please tell me where i can find one of those for $300.. the cheapest i found one for was $710.
