Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for the help over the years. unfortunitly since my new Plasma and new business venture and new inground pool, i just dont use the room at all. since the theater is in my garage, i just dont have the space to keep it.

since iv been out of the loop for over 2 years im wanting to know the best way to sell everything off. i know about ebay, but would rather deal with other HT enthusiasts..

again thanks to everyone thats helped me over the years. its been a great 10 year ride!!!

tommy.

They have a pretty good classified section here that you can either become a member of to sell items or you can pay per sale I believe.

Let us know what you got. If it is 10 years old it might not be worth as much as you'd hope!

Can you reuse the fiber optics? I may be interested in some items.

Sorry for your loss...

Audiogon and Videogon are places you can sell your items, I would stay clear of craigslist...too many thieves, bad checks etc...had a friend that sold some items on craigslist and was given counterfeit money (100 dollar bills)....

Are you going to do a marathon of old favorites before it shutters?
Sorry to hear of the closing. You could try Craigslist as well for selling the items.

Don't forget Curt Palme's CRT forum, free classified listings.

I do not recommend eBay for high ticket items any longer.....I recently listed a projector on there and got hit all 5 times by nigerian scammers....

Sorry to hear about the doors closing on your HT, Tommy.

You could use Audiogon/Videogon to sell stuff.

For high end stuff no doubt audiogon is the place.

Lets get back to the part where the plasma made you close down the theater?!?!

coolhand iv been into HT since back in 1990...my theater was a dream and the dream was fulfilled..my life has gone threw some changes over the years(im 45)and my home is very small. iv got no space for anything. my work is growing and my tools are scattered everywhere. its very hard to do what i do for a living and have no storage. iv just put in an inground pool, my daughter is older(15)and my wife and i spend more time out to diner, hanging on the back deck or at the pool.

its very sad for me to do this-

however its all part my life

if my house was bigger like some here, it would stay! however its not and thats that

So which plasma did you buy? Must be a good (big?) one if it is satisfying a projector owner.

Sorry to hear you are shutting down, but I'm just getting started up and am local to you (about 45 minutes away). My sister lives in Jackson as well, no idea what that has to do with anything...

I'd like to talk to you about some of the accessories (shelves, DVDs, etc.) Maybe we can work something out, though I have NO idea where that stuff will be priced. If you do have a comprehensive list of what you plan to sell, would you mind sending it along?

Thanks!
Chris
