I am hoping that at least some of these new models (particularly the "46" ones) will be thin bezel along the line of the Toshiba 350-U or even the newer Sharps. Size has always been the problem with getting a Bravia, due to space constraints in my apartment. Are the specs available yet?

The 46Z4100 is speculated as slim line
Has anyone seen what the 52" W series looks like? Does it look the same as the "V" series?
No pics for the W4100 yet
Does it work properly no clouding, and flashlight? or just the same as before.
How can we know this until someone gets it?

Love the forum.

Agreed 100%

I am telling you there is still going to be a 40in, 46in, 52in xbr6. Those wont be mentioned till probably February or later.

Xbrs are the cream of the crop. the top line for sony

it would be confusing to add 40-52" xbr6/7's to the line up but we have to wait until late may/early june to see if they are coming this year. right now i would have to say the Z series and the xbr6's might have the same specs. we have to wait until these new models are added to the sonystyle site or somewhere else.

I am just going by what happened last yr and the yr before.

I really dont think the 37in is the biggest for the xbr6s. I have a 46xbr4 and I love it

The difference is that last year, the 32XBR4 had the 120Hz feature--something the rest of their line lacked. The 32/37XBR6's don't appear to have any unique features in comparison to the Z-series. I think you're right though, there will still be a 40/46/52/Whatever XBR6/7 in the Fall. What they add to justify their existence is anyone guess at this point. People still seem to be misunderstanding my earlier posts. I was referencing the Z-series as a being a re-badged XBR4/5 in a negative light. Year old technology so to speak--not that it was replacing the XBR6/7. I still wouldn't be surprised to see LED lighting or Cell video processing in the larger XBR's. Too many manufacturers will have LED units for the Holidays--LG, Samsung, Toshiba that we know about at this point.

Okey, After all the hoop-la let's get back to the basics of price. Is the 120 Hz Motionflow worth the $1000 or so premium for a 52" Sony?

I'm thinking of buying a 52" and am looking at a KBL52W3000. The only real difference I can find when I compare to the XBR's is the Motionflow.

What is the consensus?

Prices on these new models better be cheaper than last year's models. More for less! :-)
As usual I of course expect cheaper prices thats 100% sure
post #56 of 6575
any guess on the 37XBR6? and the motionflow! does it have a off/on option like AMP on the samsungs?
So the only thing over a year's period that xbr6 (32") has added over last year's xbr4 is "3d user interface"? lol
post #58 of 6575
