Received my HL61 March 10th. HD CATV via hdmi, BD3600 via hdmi, DVD via component, xbox via component. Had this problem start April 18th during the nascar race. Picture would flicker to black and then go completely black. Picture returned in a minute or two and didn't happen again until about three days later. It's still intermitant but has gotten to the point of happenning every time I watch. Called Samsung Monday 4/27 and they were good. Had me on the phone with local service within 10 minutes. Tech at my house Wednesday 4/29. The problem didn't show right away so he took my TV to the shop. They ran it all yesterday and no problem so they're going to have it on this morning to see if the issues shows and if not bring it back to my house this pm. Nice guys by the way and knowledgable. They figure if they can't find the problem now it will eventually break completely and then they can fix it. Also, they had all the parts when they came to the house, light engine, power supply, etc.
-Picture flickers then goes black, some green/pink artifacts prior to flicker starting.
-In completely dark room the subtle shading of the image, charcoal on black, can be seen on the screen
-Power is still on
-Audio still works
-No trouble LED's flashing
-All inputs effected
-No on screen graphics/menus visable
-Image either comes back on its own, comes back after a power cycle or comes back after turning off and letting sit for a while.
-LED on Monster Power Center shows voltage drop when screen goes black so obviously there's something going on.
Incidently I love the picture on this TV, I want it up and running for 10+ years. My 2001 Mits rear projection 55hd just started going out so I decided to upgrade and I'm very pleased with the Samsung.
