I think Nat Geo does a nice job with everything they put their imprimatur on. I'd gladly pay $5 more per month for Nat Geo, but not $25. That's the cost with 250 channels of other stuff I don't want.
For me, it was National Geographic, Bio, and Animal Planet. My kids cried over losing AP (OK, actually, they just complained), but when I asked them "when was the last time you watched it?", they decided that maybe it wasn't so important after all. And they were all too happy to have Disney and ABC Family back, even if they aren't HD, as well as adding Nickelodeon and TVLand. But yeah, I was NOT going to give $25 a month more to keep 2 channels, and I let the CSRs that I talked to know that implicitly, not in a rude way, but just being straight with them. First guy didn't seem to care, the second one, a woman, was very nice and worked with me. So I know it's been said on here a couple times before, but if you don't get an answer you like when you call, or you don't feel like you are getting any consideration, sometimes it pays to call when a different shift is working, or at least it did for me. I couldn't be happier, and I will definitely brag on dish to people about the good customer service I got.
