I can't say I care too much about Universal's catalog (at least relatively to how much I care about Paramount's)...

especially when it comes to new releases....Sweeney Todd...please Dreamworks...go to the blu side!

Except for Chuck and Larry.

Serenity and the Bourne movies are all I can think of right now..

Can't think of anything. To be honest, not many of universals movies interest me enough to actually buy. I usually rent them though.

Battlestar Galactica Series remastered of course.

Serenity, Children of Men and the Bourne series top my list.

Edit: Oh, and Galactica with better packaging!

American Werewolf in London
E.T. -- Original 1983 Theatrical Version (not the Anniversary Edition abortion!)
Back to the Future Trilogy
The Thing
The Sting
Frankenstein, Dracula, The Mummy (original and remake)... the classic monster movies fully restored
Happy Gilmore
Jurassic Park (could care less about the sequels) with a new transfer
The Last Starfighter

All in 24 bit master grade lossless audio and high bitrate Blu-ray optimized encodings!

The Blues Brothers
Serenity (already have it on HD DVD)
Battlestar Galactica original series and new series (already have season 1 of the new series on HD DVD)
End of Days

There honestly aren't that many Universal catalog titles that I'd absolutely have to have in high definition. Now for Paramount/Dreamworks, that would be a long list.

Jurassic Park

Back to the Future

Oh, did I mention Jurassic Park?

A T-Rex in DTS-MA makes me quiver.

I'll never understand why more people don't like water world. Hopper was great in it.

I watched Dante's Peak last night for the first time (on HD-DVD).

I truly enjoyed it. One could really pick it apart (same for Twister) - but it sure had it's moments - and great sound. I like Linda Hamilton a lot too

My favorite movie of all time (except for LOTR) - Conan the Barbarian.

One movie I would like from Universal is : The Car (1977). Hearing the horn in full lossless pcm would be great.

Jurassic Park

13th Warrior

Blue Thunder

Any HDM format for these titles will suffice.

"The 'burbs" among a lot more.

Ditto. The first one for sure but I would probably do all three.

The day that disc comes to market, I'll be one of the first in the queue.

DITTO!!! Dragon the Bruce Lee Story and The Crow are two of my all time favorites.

Wait a minute I have an HD-DVD player with 2/3 of the Bourne trilogy and I might pick up Serenity and a few others if another BOGO comes (I will only buy Universal titles). Other then that, I am going to keep growing my Blu-Ray collection. It's already 4x larger then my HD-DVD collection but then again I have had Blu-Ray about a year and HD since the $98 sale.

If they went Blu and issued the Bourne trilogy with uncompressed pcm, I would sell my HD DVD trilogy and double dip on the Blu version.

Wasn't all the Spielberg stuff kind-of sort-of guaranteed for Blu-ray eventually (as in, if it came out for HD DVD Spielberg mandated that it must come out for Blu as well)?

For these lists I think we should just assume "Spielberg" as it's an obvious choice.

That aside, there's a ton of great movies in the Universal back catalog. Limiting to stuff already on HD DVD I'd say:

Bourne movies
Eternal Sunshine
Children of Men

WildeZc: Nice mockups. Really nice. The only thing I would change is the Uni BD logo, it's a bit busy. Anyway really nice.

As for what I want, right off the top of my head:

The Kingdom
Children of Men
Eastern Promises
Hot Fuzz
Shaun of the Dead

etc. etc. etc... Too many to name. Universal really does have about the best catalog out there, imo. Warner is a close second. I'll be glad when I can start buying all the studios on BD now although seeing a Universal Blu-Ray title will take some getting used to. Still it's close...

Of the films they've already released on HD-DVD:

Carlito's Way
Lost In Translation
Battlestar Galactica

There's a ton of Universal titles I'd love to get on HD. Off the top of my head, that includes the handful of UK Hammer horror movies they released in the US, all the Speilberg and Hitchcock movies they've released through them, The classic b/w monster movies from the 30's - '50s, Caddyshack, Animal House, Scarface, 12 Monkeys, The Thing, Dear Hunter, Conan, Repo Man, Casino, The Thing and the '80's remake, Cape Fear and the remake, The Andromeda Strain, Silent Running, Cat People, Dark Crystal, Monty Python's Meaning Of Life, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Brazil, The Darkman franchise, The Back To The Future trilogy, The Bourne trilogy, The Frighteners (uncut), Babe, Gladiator, O' Brother Where Art Thou, Master and Commander and Children of Man.

On big title I'm looking forward to is Peter Jackson's King Kong remake which looked and sounded outstanding on standard dvd and HD-DVD. However, I want the uncut version via seemless branching for the BR release.
