So I guess this pulls off the high Contrast by using DI. Just like the other Sonys.

I would love the lumens, quietness, etc. but you're right about the iris. I wouldn't mind one if it was on top of the 10000-15000:1 of the RS1.

Hi ,
The new price is Euro 3499 (Before 3999).

Well, everything is going in the right direction! Specs up, price down. Let's have couple more rounds of that, please.

Yah, that stinks, I just noticed if you go to the LG USA site there is not even a projector category.

Why would they not release in all markets? Its possible this projector as a higher lumens but still reasonable contrast could fill a good niche and make money for LG.

You could always import if after sales service is not a big problem for you.

Sorry to bump this old thread, but has anyone tested the AF115 yet? At a sub-$3k price how does this compare to the Sony Bravia units?
I cannot believe what profit margins these companies have, especially for the early adopters ! AF115 price started from 3999 and yesterday i ordered one with 1499€ !! ( 2100$ ) here in Greece.

Hi, where did you bought the LG?
This just looks like a trickle down from Sony to me. But that's what I expect with LG's gear and price point.

Stumpled upon this today...its the same as the LG (which there was speculation was an OEM). This is available here in the USA. Looks like this AAXA company sells LCoS Imager Chips and LCoS Optical Engines as well.
