I'd love to see some of the earlier seasons on BD. But if it wasn't shot on film then it won't really matter if it does come out on BD or not.

My short-term list:

Predator
Pulp Fiction
Lord of the Rings trilogy
Matrix trilogy

And please don't make me accept a BD-25 MPEG-2 version of Predator with DD 640kbps audio. This movie is screaming for the works.

A question for the moderator. Larry, is this thread meant to supersede the existing Universal and Paramount ones?

Will "In the Name of the King" come to Blu-Ray?
I saw it this weekend and actually liked it. But if I came away with anything it's that the picture wasn't as sharp or crisp as say the Lord of the Rings or Eragon. The effects were good, the story not bad, it wasn't great but it might be the director's best movie yet, which says a lot considering the harsh criticisms he gets for his movies.

I mean Blood Rayne 2 was especially bad.

Caligula was remastered in HD for the Imperial unrated 3 DVD release... Any idea when the Blu Ray version of Caligula is coming out? Which studio has the rights?

This should be posted in some Adult movie forum.

Its a classic movie with classical actors. I'm not so sure this movie fits in any particular category as it is unusual. I'm looking for *helpful* posts thanks.

Other than the announcement that it is in fact coming for bluray, I haven't come across any other info.

Stardust -- Just saw this a few weeks ago and loved it.

I have yet to actually buy a Blu-Ray...I am looking forward to the 'war' being over so all the titles are one format. I am more of a renter so hopefully that will help the availability of rental titles as well.

Thank-you!! That is great news... I bought the DVD Imperial edition and it said it had been remastered in HD, so it only makes sense to release it on Blu Ray since they already paid for an HD remaster!!

OK, I made the decision not to double dip on titles that I already own on DVD with the exception of two of my favorites that have non-anamorphic releases. However I have a number of favorites on LD that I'm eagerly awaiting.
