The Official BD Wishlist and "When or will this movie come out on BD? Thread - Page 7

I remember they released that huge special edition on DVD a few years back, any word if that will ever get the blu-ray treatment?

I'm also very interested in this title in blu-ray. Everything I've read has said that it is set to be released on Blu-ray in 'Spring of 2008', but no specific date is mentioned.

This exciting slate of Blu-ray Disc releases will begin with The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe in spring 2008, followed by National Treasure in summer of 2008 and culminating with Disney/Pixar's Finding Nemo and Sleeping Beauty in fall 2008.

I'm pretty sure this will be a profile 1.1 disc as well.

I'm hoping it's the extended version (or both versions with branching) and includes all of the extras from the 4 disc DVD set. I would expect it to come out about the time the sequel hits theaters.

Yes, I think this is indeed the case and the time frame lines up.

Prince Caspian is currently scheduled for a US theatrical release for 16th of May, 2008.

I was looking around for the Night/Day Watch films, are they not out on BR?

How about some older, classic films?

Something besides, Star Wars, Indy, Matrix and Lord of the Rings.

That's a good one, the one I want to see is Tron. If Disney released that I would buy a Blu-Ray now and not wait for the next line of players.

Heat(Al Pacino & Robert DeNiro)

This movie is a classic fantasy movie to me. I waited and searched for years to find it on DVD. It was one of my favorites as a kid in the early 80s and it still rocks to this day. It definitely is not a cheesy 80s fantasy movie when compared to current fantasy movies in my opinion.

Anyone else hoping to see this on Blu-Ray?
Hell yes. And Sword and the Sorcerer.
According to IMDB, Paramount has the video distribution rights for Dragonslayer, so it might be a while before we see it.

Sword and the Sorceror, on the other hand, is VERY possible, as Anchor Bay controls the DVD rights for it, again per IMDB.

I'm waiting for "Alien" "Aliens" and "The Abyss"

After those three are released, I'd die a happy man
