I heard from him a month or so ago.

His been unwell, so if he's not answering, you'll have to forgive him.

I hope he is doing well.
I have not heard about Bruce (Sony guy) for a while either.
Is he doing well? I know last he was sick.

I emailed Bruce earlier this year.

He's still kicking....and as grumpy as usual.

But it's not good.

From the sound of this thread Dougs condition is questionable. He has not post in over 12 months. Anyone know how he is?
Last I heard he was selling his momitsu 880 on CL!

With the NEC 9PG+ down and no one to repair or maintain it I might be selling the projector, and two ISS 6010 switch units. The switch units have 9 RGB cards, two s-video cards, one VGA and one Mooney HDMI card.

I can help you out with that nec, (PM me if you are interested!)

GPowers, with the set being modular, there's no reason why I can't assist. I've been repairing NECs for years.

What is the 9pg worth dead with two ISS 6010 with a bunch of RGB cards, one mooney cart, VGA card, and 2 S-video cards? Vs getting it fixed?

Probably not much!

You are better off repairing it and making good use of what tube life it has left!

My offer still stands, also Curt has been great at repairing my boards so he should be able to do the same for you!

I concur completely. You'd be lucky to get $100 for everything at this point, but if the tubes are good, you can easily get 3000-5000 hours out of the set, so why not fix it and use it for a few more years?
