Sony must be doin a helluva good job selling PSPs because I can't find one ANYWHERE!

So, I'm thinkin with the cool PSP-PS3 remote access features, Skype, and Crisis Core and GoW coming out in a couple months I'll probably pick up a PSP when I get a job and start making some $$$. Here's the thing: where the hell am I supposed to find one? I don't want a Daxter bundle because I like the black a lot more than the silver and I already have a 1gig memory stick, although I will still be picking up Daxter eventually. I can't find one locally and every online store seems to be out. Sony's apparently had some incredible resurgence in the popularity of the PSP because they're nowhere to be found.

I got the silver one after seeing the fingerprints all over one of my friends black ones. Happy with it for the extra 30 bucks.

hehe good point. If anything it's a semi-cheap mobile web browser with a (comparatively) huge screen.

I was in FL last weekend w/o a laptop and totally forgot I could check my email online via my PSP.

I just bought the last PSP Slim in black today at CC. The lady said they only got four in and only had the one left. All the bundles were sold out as well. She said they are the hottest sellers behind the Wii.

I got the black slim and a $60 4gb memory card so that I could use the $40 off $199 coupon. Not a bad deal.

Indeed, where did you find said coupon?

There are so many great games for that machine now...I am playing Silent Hill Origins and it's one of the best in the series, if not the best...
I still think the controls need to be improved, but it's quite a great portable piece.

Went looking the other day for a PSP, DS Lite and Rock Band. After 6 stores and lots of wasted fuel I came home with Rock Band and it was at the last place.

Yea it's gotten to the point where the games alone make it a must-have device for me. I need Daxter, R&C Size Matters, MGS:PO+, and the upcoming FFVII: Crisis Core and GoW:CoO. Remote play just sweetens the deal.

Anyway I'm glad Sony's moving so many PSPs, it really is a great device. I had a PSP Fat a couple years ago but needed some $$$ to make a Child's Play donation so I sold it for what I bought it for (minus the 1gig memory stick ). It was a great little device with a lot of potential that feels like is finally being fully fleshed out. I really like the system itself better than my DS, too bad the DS is the one with an unending library of good games.

I got my black one from Buy.com. And I know I've said this before, and it's OT, but damn, if any of you have any interest in action RPGs.. you must get Monster Hunter Freedom 2. I just figured out how to play "online" with Xlink Kai, and I don't think I've ever had as much fun

I was looking for a black one during the Christmas season in my many travels to different retail stores shopping for my daughter and had no luck (except for the package deals). I chalked it up to bad luck but I guess I am not the only one.

I'm sure it's partly to do with the news at CES about the new capabilities. I've had mine since this past summer after the price drop. It is a great device. I'm hoping for the GPS capability this year.

I wonder how much of the popularity is due to PS3 sales picking up? It's a great accessory to your PS3.

There's PSPs everywhere here. (North GA) I got my first PSP on the Japan launch in and time began to hate it. I then got a new slim model and Sony's new software and new hot games have made me love it!

Amazon has all three colors in stock right now and has been that way for two days now.

After the CES stuff I think a lot of PSP's are selling its a cool little device. I think games are low selling point now. But all the stuff it can do othewise is what's selling them..

I want to get one just for mpeg4 movie playback as I've got a 100 or so I've made for the ipod. But I found I could burn those to disc and copy to the PS3. Which is cool as I know have a few Family guys on their ro watch when ever. The PQ is good as I use the best converting PQ/AQ..
