Future of HD-DVD Imports & Non-combo releases

I have seen nothing that addresses these questions so I hope those more informed members of this forum can enlighten the inquiring minds who want to know.

1-- Can we still look forward to import HD-DVD releases of US BD exclusives, e.g., "3:10 to Yuma?"

2-- Can we still look forward to Warner releases on HD-DVD in other countries than the US, e.g., the superb UK "H Potter 5?"

3-- Can anyone enlighten us on the conversion of US HD-DVD combo releases, Warner (until May) and otherwise, to standard HD-DVDs a "few" months later--- for example, will we see a single-disc non-combo "Bourne Ultimatum?"

Thanks to any on the list who can help get out this information.

1.WB is BLU world wide in may. So no HP 6 or 7 on HD-DVD.

Id guess a few combos will come out as regular HD-DVDs. But I don't think warner will prehapps universal. So Bourne should at some point..

I myself just hope many of the BLu-ray only movies IN US will still come out on HD-DVD under other studios such as studio cannal and pathe.

Be careful buying any Universal non-combos that used to be combos. The bonus material tends to be on the DVD side and you'll be losing that. With a movie such as Dazed & Confused this would be undesirable, and maybe some others.

As for Breakfast Club you're not losing anything if the DVD side goes away, but that one hasn't been announced for non combo that I know of.

Well, I certainly hope you are surmising incorrectly here but it certainly may be so. I truly like extras (don't understand why anyone wouldn't want to know more about the films they love), so I certainly hope they'll be brought over to any non-combo releases.

Thanks for the input-- to you and all.

Anyone else??
