I placed an order from "Inetvideo" Friday AM while their Web site was up and to my surprise received my disc (since only one that I wanted was "American Werewolf") today in the mail!! Wow I am getting order shipped from Canada faster than orders shipped from Amazon.. which shipped from KC, KS to Wichita,KS took eight days (yet I know there was a USA holiday but still) and a order from Canada only took five days from date of order!?!?!

Good luck .

PS. Everytime you post, I wonder how you're doing... hopefully much better.

All 22 discs in A+ condition...and only five combo discs. Kudos to Inet!

Well, not combos the treat , but combos as in combo format.

I know what the cheese filled pretzel nuggets are, and yes they are delishous .
I also know what Combo HD-DVDs are too. I was just wondering what the significance was of you going out of your way to say "only 5 conbos". Do you not like Combos?... the dvds I mean .

Hmmm. Of the hundreds of playings I've done on my A35 I've had only two "mishaps"...both on combos. I've read they're a little persnickety on some software, and so it has been my experience (but only on two discs). That's the significance (for those running software that isn't combo proof).

Cheese-filled, huh?

Got it on the dvds. I've played maybe 5 combos w/ no problems (A35 w/2.0 fw).
As for the snacks, I haven't had any of those in years. I may have to pick some up this week to see if they are still as delicious as I remember.

They're not. But the cheese on the discs help them slide in and out of the player better.

The pretzel nuggets are not as delicious as the original cracker nuggets w/ cheddar filling.

p.s. my A35 has no problem with them, either.

For the intrepid travelers who may be passing thru/coming to Fort Wayne: DVD Replay has a fairly good selection of used HD titles for $9.99. Buy 5 get 1 free. I bought Corpse Bride and Hulk. Hopefully they will play w/o any glitches as I cannot test them until I get back home tomorrow night. None of the HWV or MG have any HD titles in stock. Suncoast had about 4 at regular prices. I did not check the Video Stop (3 stores) to see if they had any.

If you guys would buy Blu-ray players, you wouldn't need to add those cheesy pretzels to get your discs in and out of the players. All Blu-ray players come with cheese installed at the factory.

(Man, I miss the old confrontational days of the format war....)

By the way, thanks to everyone who's contributed to this great thread. I'm a resident of Los Angeles who's been in Malaysia since February on an extended "medical tour." However, I'm now pretty well recovered from the procedure and returning home soon. Thanks to all of you, when I arrive, I'll be able to celebrate my recovery with lots and lots of new HD DVDs that I've purchased from over here based on your tips.

Do "combos" count as an HD DVD or as a DVD? Which into which libaray, does one place them? One's HD DVD library or one's DVD library.

I think I will just sit back, and enjoy another combo treat.
I think both. For all the HD-DVDs that I have that are not Combos, I try to obtain a copy of the SD version and put that inside the HD case. Now they're ALL Combos.

Okay, WHY would you do that?
So that I can have an SD and HD version of all the movies. I have 7 tvs in my house and not all of them have HD players. Plus, friends and family like to borrow my dvds on occasion, and most of them do not have HD players at all.

Then EVERYONE needs to go out and get an HD player.
And some cheese.

fwiw, it appears that at least some Hollywood Videos still have HD-DVDs; was just in the Twin Cities, and went in one, that had them marked down to 3 for $25. which isn't terrible. Downside was that even tho they had maybe 25 titles, they didn't have 3 I wanted -- and unfortunately, the clerk insisted that I pay 15 bucks per title if I didn't buy 3. Oh well - and I realize, 3 for 25 is still close to Inet price - but woulda been nice.
LOL, 3-for-25 or 2-for-30. Not sure which deal I would pick there.
My Inetvideo order arrived today - all the way from Quebec down here to Georgia in only 5 calendar days. Definitely a big +++ for recommending them. Fingers crossed for Paramount and Warner titles :-).
How are these Inetvideo orers arriving again?

Are they in the regular mail or something else? I ordered on Saturday and was hoping to see them soon.
Good to see that everyone's orders are starting to roll in now. I can't imagine how you can fault this outfit. I think their service is top notch!

I am going to keep watching for new title additions... I would love to round out my collection with a few Warner and/or Paramount titles that I previously passed on. I suppose I could be tempted by the 2 Sopranos Season 6 boxsets, or Planet Earth !!! which is still on my wishlist.

But who knows, those 20 to 30 new ones that are rumoured could in fact be more Universals that aren't at iNet yet. (like Atonement).

Geez, if I didn't already have all of the other Universals that are basically "must haves", I probably would have ordered over 50 last week and not just 17 !!

Priority mail.

Mine was mailed the date I ordered it, and received three business days later. Phenomenal for international mail.

Expedited Parcel. or Priority Mail Packet for smaller orders.

It looks like most of the US orders (or even possibly all them??) are being shipped from the Canadian office.

Remember that it probably only takes 2 days tops for the parcel to cross the border. The rest of the journey will be good old USPS.

Looks like most deliveries reported so far are between 3 and 5 days (from the time you received you COMPLETED email notice)
