Hi guys, i'm currently switching between 16:9 and 2.35 aspect ratio via rs-232 and sending command from my computer (Xon/Xoff). What is the cheapest way for me to do so without my PC. I can't go into the menu for that command. Any suggestion????? Alan.

Don't know about cheap, but I believe the Universal remote MSC-400 module will send the RS232 for you, via your choice of one of their remotes, IR or RF.

The MSC-400 is $600+ For much less you could build a basic PC just for your pj. I have a Cappucino GX1 (lists $275 I think) which is an all-in-one micro PC with RS232 and IrDA even.

Dunno of a non-PC based solution, but in searching I found the SitePlayer Telnet for $80 is a little gizmo that plugs-in to your network and COMs with your pj. Still need a PC somewhere, but you could use Telnet Scripting Tool and some batch files to do anything you want.

Look at RTI for RS-232

Alan;
I am not quite sure what exactly are you trying to switch/control. Is this a masking system?

I have one on the way to me at the moment. However I'm in the UK so it will be another week or so before I see it.
