RSS Feeds for THREADS

I am sorry, but I do not know of a way personally at this time. Let me see if I can find a hack for it would be nice for large threads.

I have not had any luck finding a something what I can add to do this I am sorry to say. I will continue to keep my eyes open for something.

I might have a solution for you (and anyone else for that matter).
I wanted to to the same thing for my local threads and cooked up a Yahoo pipe to do this:

The Thread ID is the number right after the t= in the thread when you click on the thread form the forum index.

What it does is it takes the forum thread and filters out everything else but the Thread ID specified.

In theory this should work, one thing I noticed is that the RSS feed is a little behind the real thing.

Let me know if it works out for you, ill be using it too so let me know if there is any problems I will fix them up for you.

Is there still no option on getting individual threads in RSS feeds? I tried that yahoo pipes thing and got no-where. Would be nice to have this working because I keep a half dozen tabs open in my browser now to follow certain pages. The main room view is general for me to use as a feed.

Any update on this? Any thoughts? I think it would be a great idea to have an rss feed of an individual thread.

Agreed. Its been since 08 since this was last discussed. Any updates AVS mods?

Seeing that it is not supported in the software, then I am sorry to say no simple way to add it. Unless there is something that is undocumented, I personally am not aware of such a item in the Vb software.

You can always subscribe to a given thread which is my guess as why Vb may not have it directly.

Thank you, David. I am trying to find how to subscribe to a given thread, but it appears all one can do is subscribe to an entire forum (ie, speakers, plasma TV's, etc). I will keep looking, though.

Has any way of getting RSS feeds for individual threads surfaced in the last couple of months?

I was just on the Playstation Forums and seeing the option reminded me to check to see if AVS has figured something out. I realize you use different software but I'm still hopeful.

Unless someone creates a new hack or it's included an a newer version of vBulletin, I think your only option is to subscribe to a given thread for now.

Note...We also can not go to a newer version of VB as it is not very good for large sites without A LOT of reprogramming.

As you may have read, the forum will go through a major overhaul this year so hopefully everything will get squared away then.
