I did a search before I posted and the model number did not come up. Guess you have to put in EXACTLY the model number in the format someone else may have entered.

Yeah, unfortunately computers are still concrete in their "thinking"

But the TV is basically a W3000 with motionflow - which is otherwise only available on the XBR4/5.

Sony asia announced their local W400A model which is the same as W4100 and their model has 30.000:1 contrast dynamic and 3.000:1 on screen

The Costco version looks to be identical to the upcoming 4100 except it keeps the "Deep Color" and "x.v. Color", which the 4100 seems to have dropped from previous years W series (W3000). If this is the case, please tell me a reason why I should wait for the new W4100.

HDMI 1.3 channels Deep Color - however, if you research it there is next to no content being produced with it presently but a few High end HD Camcorders and Ultra HD Camera's which most cannot afford. Hence, why be concerned or bothered as it doesn't truly exist in the present tense for what you'll be viewing and it doesn't mean the capability is not there but you require source for it to be seen. Somewhat a featureset that has been falsely promoted by most CE manufacturers. The capability will be there when the industry catches up but legacy content won't have it.

It certainly would not be a step back - Sony rarely takes steps back.

I believe it has better response times and as mentioned improved CR's and of course more space efficient than many of the current models it appears.

Thanks, that's what I was hoping to hear. So your telling me that the lack of "Deep Color" and "x.v. Color" won't diminish any source material (HD content, gaming) compared to LCD's that have this feature? If this is the case, I don't mind waiting for the 2008 W series since the couple of months will allow me to budget my funds a bit better.

If the W4100 doesn't have a 10 bit processor or 10 bit display, i'm getting KDL52WL135.
