First off amazing advice in these forums and I am really needing some help. I'm still torn with the picture quality on the Vizio VU42LF. I've been calibrating it for the past week and it everything still seems to have a grey tone to it. HD channels just look okay, and SD channels are awlful. I have it hooked up via HDMI to a Comcast box. Any advice on proper calibration levels you all might be able to help me out with? Also the TV takes around 12 seconds to pull the signal when turning on? is this normal?
Here are the settings I currently have:
Comcast Settings:
4:3 Override - Stretch (other options are 480i, and 480p)
HDMI Colors: YCC:4:4:4:4
Vizio TV Settings:
Brightness- 50
Contrast- 34
Color- 44
Tint- 0
Sharpness- 2
Color Temp:
Red- 140
Green- 128
Blue- 140
Advanced Settings:
DNR- Off
Black Level- ON
White Peak- On
CTI- Off
Flesh Tones- Off
Adaptive Lighting- Off
DCR- ON
Any help would be greatly appreciated, and have tried the majority of the settings posted in the Viziocalibration.zip file for download. Anyone see anything strange about the calibration settings i'm using?
