Avid reader! And almost there for a complete HT setup. I have the following pieces and i need one more!
Samsung 4696
Pro Cinema 800, but upgrade sub to ProSub1000
I am looking for receiver to finish the setup. my thoughts are pretty much b/n onkyo 605 or denon 2308.
As far as blu-ray/hddvd is concerned, i dont see myself buying it, until there is a clear cut winner and prices drop! (1 year or so)
I dont know why i would need an extra amp, so preamp, doenst really apply. I pretty much just watch tv and movies!
At my local dealer i can get
Onkyo 605 - $600
Denon 2308 - $700 ~ $750
both taxes in & Canadian prices, in toronto.
Is it worth spending the extra for 2308. The up conversion is better on the denon correct?
anything else that i should be thinking of?
