hmm... I noticed something similar today on my PZ77U. It was output from my bluray. We were watching Cars and whenever there was a sky scene there was a line pixels a bit darker about an inch from the top. I never noticed it before today and it really freaked me out. So I changed to standard def player and the result was same. The line was still there albeit a bit lighter. So my panasonic blu ray player somehow was enhancing that line. Was not convinced it was the TV, so I took the movie upstairs and played in my PS3 and Vizion LCD, sure enough the line showed up. I am still not sure what is causing the line but it showed up on two different TV and three different players. Unfortunately, I saw the line in another DVD, (Harry Potter:Prisoner of Azkaban). So it maybe a combination of DVD source and how the video is being processed. I do not have a letter box movie on blu ray, so that will be the next thing to try. Funny thing is I watched the same Cars movie several times before and never noticed the line until today.
