I have a 7.1 set up with CBM 170's and a CMT Center....
Now I understand the mains up front should be ear level when sitting, and the center is easy enough, slightly angled down, slightly.
What about the 4 surrounds? I know placement, but not the best height. Ear level sounds bad to me, too localized. I watch a lot of movies and play video games, no too much music, and when I do its vinyl or CD, so stereo.
I have done much reading and it seems that around 3ft above seating position is best. Should they be angled downwards at all? And if so, how much? If not, why?
Any input is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
