Pioneer PDP 4280 qestion

Hey all

so I exchanged my PDP 4280 for another one because of the annoying buzzing coming from the back. My new one has a limted buzzing not as lound as my other one but the buzz is still there if you listen close. Its not as anooying but still it kinda bothers me because I dont feel right paying so much for a Tv that makes a buzz since im coming from a CRT that was dead silent. anyways i was wondering if anyone elses PDP 4280 makes a slight buzz from the back? I was also wondering what is the break in period and should i be doing it?

I went for the 5080 and there is no audible buzzing from the front, only a slight buzz from the back. If I had the buzz, I'd probably return it because, like you said, that much for a TV...

Breaking-in is kind of a "your choice" kind of thing - but if you're spending that much on a TV, why wouldn't you? My suggestion is to leave it muted on cartoon network, zoomed to full whenever you're not home/watching.

If you cant hear it from your viewing distance not sure how much better you can get.

Don't trade a display with an issue so minor because the odds are good you'll end up with something worse.

I think there are very few that said that the buzz got worse. SMA can correct me if I am wrong and we can move this to the Buzz thread

If you're going to worry about that, why not worry that a set with no buzz will start to make one?

OMG i connected my cable box to my pioneer and that buzzing came back... what a peice of crap. when is pioneer coming out with its 2008 42 inch? this **** is garbage i dont care how good the picture is it sounds like its gonna break down.
