I recently bought a Skil miter saw but was wondering has anyone use a KOBALT 10" SLIDING MITER SAW from Lowe's and can they tell me if its good or not?

I purchased a GMC 10" Sliding Miter Saw at Lowes. Use it for trim work, it worked ok, but the saw was more suited toward framing.

Save your $$$$$. The Kolbalt brand is not that good. I was the Asst Mrg of Tool's & Hardware for a while. Also stay away from FORCE .. bad news! Want a decent saw check out a Hitachi, I have a 12" with Lazer, very nice. Also Dewalt makes some good stuff. The ONLY thing that Lowe's carries that is good in KOLBALT is the sockets. Those are actually made by SNAP ON TOOLS for Lowe's, but most people including employee's don't know that.

Thanks I guess i'll stick with my Skil 3800 miter saw, at least it is hi-tech with double lasers and also its motion sensitive.
