Need some help with the Zalman HD160XT remote

I'm using BeyondTV has my PVR software. I'm currently using the Hauppauge remote receiver to control the app.

I want to instead use the builtin remote receiver of the case.

Here are my questions:
  • Do I have to use the zini software? I don't care or have a need for the "monitoring" screen that comes up with that software.
  • Does the IR receiver also allow for waking up the machine from standby?
  • Since the remote is MCE-compatible, will it also control BeyondTV?
  • Once all that is resolved, will I be able to program my Harmony remotes instead of using the supplied Zalman remote?

Thanks for any help!

Here's my setup:
Case: Zalman HD160XT-Black|PSU: Corsair CMPSU-520HX 520W|MB: Fatal1ty F-I90HD w/ HDMI|OS HD: Seagate 160GB EIDE (WinXPSP2)|Storage: WD 750GB (x4 RAID10)|CPU: Intel E6420 Core 2 Duo|CPU Cooler: Zalman CNPS7700-CU|Mem: 2GB TWIN2X1024-6400C4 PC2-6400|ODD: LH-20A1H-185 LITE-ON DVD R/W|Tuners (5OTA):(1) WINTV-HVR-1600 / (2) HDHomeRuns [8-way CVT-2/8PIA II]|Remotes: Harmony 659 & 880|KB: BTC 9019URF

Can't really answer all of your questions but I do have a HD160XT with a Harmony One remote. The HD160xt remote is already in the logitech database, under Add device, Computer Media Center PC, Manufacture: Zalman, and Model HD-160XT. With the HD160xt added, I am able to power on, sleep, wake and power off the PC with the harmony remote, along with all the other mce commands.

Are you using the Zini software or what?

I found that the software that shows the fan speed/cpu usage/etc, does not allow the computer to go into standby by itself. Is there a way to use the remote software without running the monitoring app?
