Sorry for the bump, but I wanted to add the link to the 'Electronic House' article on my theater to the thread

Way to go. I always liked how your theatre turned out. Your room gave me inspiration while finishing my project. Congrats.

yeah great build. I actually stumbled onto your theater a week or so ago and was using it as an example to show my wife what i was wanting to do with ours! The soffit and lighting you have in your theater is very similar to what i had envisioned, and yours is so well done i was like...THIS is what i want!

thanks so much. one of the most frequent compliments I get is that the theater is "wife approved"

Fantastic build!!! Love the colors!! Very warm and inviting. I only see one problem though. Staying awake during the movie! Again, great HT. Showing finished pics gets the rest of us back downstairs and working again. There is light at the end of the tunnel!

I will.
Not only did you inspire my future theater, you also kick started my butt into actually taking pictures and starting my own thread which I will do soon. Here is my rendering of the screen wall for starters -

Wow bro... awesome theater! Really awesome. Almost the same dimensions as my room. I am just starting my build and I was a bit nervous that my room might be a bit small, but seeing your build gives me hope!

great job. I can only hope that mine will come out half as nice as yours. Two thumbs up!

inspiring project - this is probably my favorite of the small theater threads.

I will be building a house later this year (unless we can find something sooner) where the basement will only be 13' wide and I had become discouraged that I would not be able to do a proper theater. Consider that concern gone.

So I'm a finance guy so forgive me for asking tacky questions but you say you spent $6,000 on decor (sounds like you did a lot of the work yourself?) - does that include the furniture? And then all the tech is totally separate, correct?

I'm still in the very first steps (I only got the basement floorplan yesterday) of my home theater journey. Appreciate your input.

Very nice man! The dimensions you mentioned, are they from the AT screen or does that include the space behind your AT screen?
I'm going to start my own build and the dimensions are very similar

Really enjoyed the Journey that it took to complete your room. When it was just a TV room, going through the construction process, and now a dedicated Home Theater Room. Also enjoyed reading the article in Electronic House Magazine. How did you get your home theater covered in Electronic House Magazine? Just curious. This room looks just as good as some custom installers could have done in that room. Very impressed in how fast you put it together and only spending $ 6,000.00 on the project. The Home Theater you have is absolutely stunning. It's been a while since you have completed your Home Theater Room have you bought anything new to ad to your room or replaced anything?.
